Dover Athletic boss Chris Kinnear insists he is as hungry for success as ever as the Whites prepare for the Blue Square Bet South play-offs.
It’s been 20 years since Kinnear guided Dover into the Premier division of Conference football, and he is savouring the prospect of bringing top-flight football back to the Crabble Athletic Ground.
“I’m no different 20-odd years ago to now. I want to win as much as ever, I’ve never lost that. Fortunately, all the way through, I’ve been able to win things,” he told Kent Online.
“If you’ve done it before, you don’t tend to think about it so much but you still get the same buzz.”
Kinnear has urged his players to take advantage of the opportunity to play in the Conference’s top-division by giving their all in the play-offs.
“The younger lads have got a great opportunity to play in the play-offs and the older lads don’t know how many more chances they’ll get at promotion,” he added. We might not win it but we’ve got to give ourselves a chance.”
