Salisbury City have announced that defender James Clarke has committed himself to the club ahead of the 2013/14 season.
City manager Darrell Clarke axed six players from his promotion winning squad but acted quickly to secure the services of the 24-year-old former Oxford United player.
Assistant manager Mikey Harris told the club’s official website: “He has pace and strength which are key attributes for the BSP.
“He is hungry and displays a winning mentality, which is the sort of players we are after.”
Clarke added: “I’m happy to commit myself to the club for another year.
“I’m looking forward to playing in the conference premier again and helping Salisbury City FC kick on.
“I’d like to give massive thanks to the Gaffer and Mikey for the faith they’ve shown in me after stepping up a league this season.”
Clarke joined the club ahead of the 2012/2013 season and went on to make 45 appearances.
