Welling United manager Jamie Day has expressed his delight at the news that Fraser Franks has signed on for the upcoming campaign.
The 22-year-old centre-back made quite an impact for the Wings in his debut season having joined from AFC Wimbledon last summer.
He went on to make 43 appearances for the London outfit, scoring four goals in the process as Day’s side clinched the Blue Square Bet South title.
Franks was also rewarded with his maiden call-up to the England C squad and made his debut in the 6-1 thrashing of Bermuda earlier this month.
Day told Kent News: “I’m delighted that Fraser has signed his new deal and we can look forward to the new season.
“He made a big impression on everyone at the club last season and we were all proud of him making his England C debut.
“I am sure that he will continue to develop in the Conference Premier and, hopefully, his performances will earn him more call-ups to future England C squads as a Welling United player.”
