More movement in Dover

Dover Athletic haveretained the services of defender Tom Wynter but Danny Webb, Billy Bricknell and Dean Rance have all left the club.

While Wynter revealed his delight at having put pen to paper on a new one-year deal, Webb has joined Chelmsford City.

Following the signing of his new contract, the 23-year-old told the club’s official website: “It was a no brainer and I was glad to send the contract back after I received the offer in the post. Dover is a great club with great fans and I am over the moon!

“It fits in so well with work too. I really must thank my boss Nick Cunningham (a supporter whose plumbing firm are one of the team’s sponsors). He always lets me have time off to play football!”

The Whites have, meanwhile, wished Webb, Bricknell and Rance well following their departures.

A club statement read: “Centre back Danny Webb has left Crabble to sign for Chelmsford City. Webb joined Dover a year ago but only featured a few times in 2013. We wish him all the best at his new club.

“Billy Bricknell and Dean Rance have left Crabble today to join new clubs next season. We thank them both for their service to Dover Athletic and wish them every success in the future.”
