Havant & Waterlooville have confirmed that experienced centre-back Pedro Monteiro has extended his stay at West Leigh Park.
The former Southampton and West Brom defender impressed on his short spell with the club last season, and manager Lee Bradbury was keen to sign the 35-year old to a contract after completing the re-signing of Eddie Hutchinson.
The duo will bring much needed experience to the young Hawks squad for at least another year, and Bradbury is keen to continue the strengthening of the squad.
“I am working very hard to bring in the right people with a goalkeeper and a left-back the priority,” he told the club’s official website.
“I am close to filling one of those roles soon and hope to be in a position to announce news of a new signing later this week.
“Can I just also state how encouraged I am by the early flood of season ticket applications and thank everyone for their support and patience in what I hope will be an exciting season for everyone involved in the club.”
Meanwhile, Paul Hinshelwood, Dan Thomas and Matt Pegler have confirmed that they have left the Hawks.
