Welling United have received a welcome boost with the news that striker Kiernan Hughes-Mason has signed a new one-year contract.
The 21-year-old signed for the Wings in the summer of 2012 following his release by Blue Square Bet Premier outfit Grimsby Town.
He went on to make 44 appearances under the guidance of manager Jamie Day last term, scoring 12 goals as the Park View Road outfit clinched the Blue Square Bet South title.
Commenting on Hughes-Mason’s new deal, Day told the club’s website:” Kiernan had an excellent first year with us and I know he’ll be looking to improve further in a division he knows well from his time at Grimsby.”
Hughes-Mason started his career as a trainee at Millwall in 2007 and went on to make his first-team debut in August 2009 at the age of 17.
The Hackney-born player has also donned the colours of Kettering Town and Tooting & Mitcham United.
