The league’s governing body have rejected a request from Hayes & Yeading to start the 2013/14 season with a run of away games.
The Blue Square Bet South outfit were thought to be on the verge of moving into their new stadium, but it seems the move could now take longer than expected.
Should the Sharda Glass Community Stadium not be completed and graded in time for the start of the new campaign, Hayes & Yeading will play their home games at Woking’s Kingfield Stadium.
General manager at the Football Conference, Dennis Strudwick, told the Uxbridge Gazette: “I was asked if I would schedule more away games than home games [at the start of the season] but that doesn’t work.
“They haven’t told us their ground is ready for inspection yet, I think under the circumstances, with the club moving to a new ground, it would be permissible for them to move into their ground when it’s ready.”
