Staines Town have bolstered their defensive ranks with the capture of Douglas Bergqvist from League Two side Aldershot Town on loan.
The 19-year-old has already managed six appearances for the Shots, although it’s his previous experience in the Blue Square Bet South which would’ve caught Gayle’s attention.
Bergqvist had short stints at Dorchester Town and Basingstoke Town, but made a significant impression with Farnbrough, where he played 32 games and scored two goals last season.
He is set to make his arrival at Wheatsheaf Park on Thursday, and should make the trip with the Swans to Cornwall for Saturday’s clash with Truro City.
