All but one of the fixtures for Tuesday’s Blue Square Bet South fixtures have been postponed.
At the time of writing, Eastleigh clash with Truro City will go ahead but the other four fixtures have fallen foul of the weather.
A statement on the Dorchester Town official site read: “After an early pitch inspection, today’s game against Farnborough has been called off due to a waterlogged pitch.
“It’s extremely disappointing that today’s match has been postponed but the good news is that the lounge bar will be open from 1.30pm onwards. See you there.”
And on the Dover site: “Tuesday’s home fixture against AFC Horchurch in Blue Square Bet South is postponed due to a frozen pitch. The match has been re-arranged for Tuesday 26th February. Kick-off 7.45pm.”
Sutton United home tie with Weston-super-Mare has not been spared by the weather.
“Not surprisingly, it only needed a very brief pitch inspection to confirm that tonight’s match is postponed because of a heavy covering of snow. Last Saturday’s game against Truro City has been re-arranged for Tuesday 12th March.”
And Welling United will have to find a new date to face Tonbridge Angels.
They have reported: “Tonight’s game against Welling United is off due to a frozen pitch at Park View Road.”
